Who We Are
Founded by language professionals with many years of practical experience in the translation, localization and documentation business, BeatBabel combines all aspects of international communication into one. Whether you have been localizing your products for many years or are just now entering the world-wide arena, we are a reliable and experienced business partner to help you get noticed and be successful wherever your business takes you and where your customers are.
When language and cultural barriers can easily become obstacles, BeatBabel can assist. Our team consists not only of experienced individuals, but also comprises a linguistic and cultural variety that ensures the best possible outcome of every project we undertake.
BeatBabel spans the globe through a network of partners and individuals ready to handle any project, around the world and around the clock. We are where you need us most!
We take advantage of our ideal location between our European and Asian partners and customers. Your project gets the attention it deserves not just during the West-Coast workday, but when our office in San Diego closes, our partners in Asia and Europe can do their part. And ultimately, after a trip around the world, the project can be ready for handoff to you in a much shorter timeframe than what you are used to with your conventional partners. Let us prove it to you.

Location: |

|
Background: |
After graduating from Kassel University with degrees in Computer Science, Graphic Arts and Social Sciences (adult teaching) I went traveling and exploring other countries and cultures. Languages and experience in foreign countries came in handy when I worked as a project co-ordinator with the Institute for European Environmental Policy, spending my working days in Bonn, Brussels, Paris, Amsterdam and London.
Eventually, in 1989 I co-founded Translingua Documentation, one of the first localization companies in the industry and after a number of years seeing things from the European vendor perspective I was given the chance to move to the US and seeing the other side of the coin. |

|
Location: |
Buenos Aires, Argentina |
|
Background: |
I completed my Master Degree in Economics in the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and then decided to take a sabbatical in LA, California. That sabbatical year lasted 12 years. There, I started my translator career combining my two greatest passions: languages and films.
For a long time I translated subtitles for Hollywood major film studios. In the meantime, computers and CDs came along so I took a "right" turn into software localization and technical translations.
I clearly remember predicting at the time that everyone would end up having a PC at home and a phone in his pocket. They laughed! Years later, technology allowed me to return to Buenos Aires and continue this rewarding translation career that I enjoy so much. |
