Svetlana
Svetlana was born and raised in the snowy Ural Mountains where Europe meets Asia. Her early years were divided between ballet, cross-country skiing and English lessons. In 2010 she graduated from the Ural State University with a degree in philology and a translator’s certificate, becoming the first linguist in a family of engineers.
She came to the US for the first time as a participant of the international exchange student program, which eventually led to a 7-year career in hospitality.
In February 2018, led by ever present wanderlust, Svetlana took a cross-country trip from Maryland to California with a few stops along the way. In early 2018 she joined the BeatBabel team in San Diego where she first started as a Production Specialist. Svetlana is now one of our Senior Project Managers.
Currently residing in Ocean Beach, Svetlana enjoys her neighborhood community events and watching sunsets from the Tide Pools. Every other weekend she leaves the city to appreciate the nature and to look at the stars if the sky is clear at night.
