Summer is coming to an end - well, it’s coming to an end for all of you who don’t live here in beautiful San Diego anyways - and to see it off, part of the BeatBabel team will be attending three innovative content strategy and localization industry events in San Jose, Santa Clara and Stuttgart.
Information Development World 2015 - 9/30-10/2: This year, BeatBabel will join hundreds of content strategists, marketers, community managers, technical writers and other content management professionals in San Jose, California, for one of the most important content-focused conferences out there today. This event, organized by content "veterans" Scott Abel and Val Swisher, promises to be a fun feast of content strategy and management, sprinkled with a bit of DITA and localization. If you want to know where to find someone from our team, they will undoubtedly be attending the Software Localization Summit, a new and very promising addition to this year’s program, hosted by Fabiano Cid and the wonderful staff from the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA). In the evening, our very own Marie Flacassier will be attending the Women in Localization discussion “How does she do it all? Being a Superwoman in the tech industry”.
Localization World Santa Clara – 10/14-10/16: “The Internet of Things” is the main theme for LocWorld29, which will take place in Silicon Valley. Some of our in-house techies have been following this topic for some time now, so this event was a must for our team! But don’t fear being shushed by a BeatBabel geekie and deeply concentrated team member. Marie Flacassier will also take part in the Localization Internship Summit during the pre-conference sessions. So if you see us at the conference, please say hi!
TC World Stuttgart – 11/10-12: We know what you’re thinking and no, we are not going to Germany just for the unbeatable breakfast and Fall colors. The fact is, tcworld is a must for anyone providing services and software related to technical communication and BeatBabel cannot miss out. If you want to find us there, check out any of the talks on Machine Translation... You will be sure to find our CEO, Burckhardt Rueffer. You might also want to visit out the SDL Partner event organized before the conference. They are known to throw a great party...
