It is our pleasure to announce that, in the spirit of the 2019 Holiday season, BeatBabel has decided to make a donation to the local non-profit organization ITHINKBIG. In particular, our donation will be dedicated to the development of their project in Mexico: ¡BUENA ONDA! (meaning, good vibes,) whose main objective is to build a facility in Punta Colonet, Baja California to “Inspire the Young” of the community.

Colonet is about 3 hours south from the San Diego/Tijuana border. The project and organization were brought to our attention by our own Svetlana, who has collaborated with them in the past. We are deeply enthusiastic about the project and their vision, and after hearing about the great things that they plan to do in Colonet, we knew we wanted to be a part of it and do what we could to spread the word.

Their project aims to build a facility with classrooms, cafeteria, communal gathering space, library, as well as offices, storage, and lodging. Once their doors are officially open, they will be able to kick off a variety of services, events and activities that aim to help and contribute to the community, which include: after-school programs, medical assistance to families in need, hosting monthly seminars on critical issues, helping single moms through free childcare, and launching an internship program for both Mexican and American young adults who wish to support the emerging generations of Colonet. And… did we forget to mention, that there is also a skatepark in the works?!
